I am a woman born 1949 and my quest is to find a mindmate
to grow old together as a mutually devoted couple
in a relationship based upon the
egalitarian rational commitment paradigm
bonded by intrinsic commitment
as each other's safe haven and secure basis.

The purpose of this blog is to enable the right man
to recognize us as reciprocal mindmates and
to encourage him to contact me:

The entries directly concerning,
who could be my mindmate,
are mainly at the beginning.
If this is your predominant interest,
I suggest to read this blog in the same order
as it was written, following the numbers.

I am German, therefore my English is sometimes faulty.

Maybe you have stumbled upon this blog not as a potential match.
Please wait a short moment before zapping.

Do you know anybody, who could be my mindmate?
Your neighbour, brother, uncle, cousin, colleague, friend?
If so, please tell him to look at this blog.
While you have no reason to do this for me,
a stranger, maybe you can make someone happy, for whom you care.

Do you have your own webpage or blog,
which someone like my mindmate to be found probably reads?
If so, please mention my quest and add a link to this blog.

What to Share

I am looking for a mindmate for a relationship based upon sharing.

1. Activities

I would like to share traveling and day trips to museum and exhibitions of art, history, prehistory, technology.
I like to visit temples and churches.  For me as an atheist, they are the same as museums, but the weirdness of believes adds some more interesting aspects to it.   I even like religious events, they are sometimes weird spectacles.
I am fascinated by anything old, archaeological sites and ancient monuments, castles and ruins, and caves.
I enjoy historical markets and festivals, traditional and folkloristic parades.
I like theater and concerts of folkloristic and world music, especially in the open air.
I like zoos and also all movement out in the fresh air, that is not too much strain, be it hiking, swimming in a lake or tours on a bicycle.

2.  Ideas and Intellectual Pursuits

I like to exchange ideas but in the framework of the closeness that is derived from a shared basis of values and attitudes, as is outlined in this blog.  The exchange of ideas should lead to a joint elaboration of further thoughts, not to controversies of fighting, who is right or wrong.    I like to mutually suggest to read texts and talk about it.   I like to watch movies or documentaries together, stop the presentation and talk about it.
Not only do I like to share cultural experiences as listed above under activities, but I also like to talk about them.   I like to go to lectures.

3.  Innermost feelings and thoughts

It is very important to share all innermost feelings and thoughts.   I am looking for a partner, who is motivated and interested in spending time to communicate about the very personal matters of the relationship, and who is able to trust and to open up without holding back.
Bonding requires to know and understand each other very well.
Solving conflicts requires full awareness and communication about all the dynamics between two partners.
Equality requires to share decisions and base them on first sharing all information needed, not only about facts but also about very personal needs and sensitive spots.
